Help the cats

Time, money, things for a sale, or a gift in your will. Every way in starts with a call or a letter.

01 Volunteer

A pair of hands.

Ask how you can help, whether that is your time, a spare room or a pair of hands at a sale.

We will not list jobs here that we cannot promise. Call us, tell us what you could offer, and we will tell you where it would help most. If you could look after a cat in your home for a while, ask us about fostering.

03 Sales and fundraisers

Come to a sale.

We hold local sales and fundraisers to raise money for the cats.

We do not publish dates here. Ask us when the next one is, whether we could use items for it, or whether we need a hand on the day.

04 Fundraise for us

Got an idea?

If you would like to raise money for the cats, a bake sale, a sponsored walk on the downs, anything at all, please ask us before you start. We will help you get it right and make sure the money reaches the cats.

05 Gifts in wills

Remembering the cats.

Gifts to UK charities in a will are usually free of Inheritance Tax. If you are thinking of leaving a gift to the cats, these are the details your solicitor will need:

Name
Cats in Care
Charity number
285745 (England and Wales)
Address
24 Redland Lane, Westbury, Wiltshire BA13 3QA

A solicitor can advise you on wording. You are welcome to call us, but you never have to tell us.

06 Questions

Before you help.

Anything else, ring us on 07449 370133.

Can I donate online?

Not through this website. Call us on 07449 370133 or write to us, and we will arrange your gift with you.

Can my gift be Gift Aided?

If you pay UK tax, ask us whether your gift can be Gift Aided.

What items do you need?

Ask us what’s needed before you bring anything. That way your gift goes where it helps.

When is the next sale?

Get in touch and we will tell you. We do not publish dates on this site.

Can I volunteer if I can only spare a little time?

Ask us. Tell us what you could offer and we will tell you where it would help.

Where does the money go?

Into the rescue and homing of unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens. Our latest income and spending, from the public register, are on our about page.
